A band of unlikely heroes—a witty rogue, a cynical wizard, a brash warlock, a noble cleric, and a quiet druid—rise from the ashes of a shipwreck to do the impossible: shatter the chains and kill the tyrant.
Centuries later, the kingdom of Thalvannar is a thriving magitech society. But the heroes of old were wrong. The moons they freed are not benevolent gods; they are cosmic parasites, feeding on the life force of entire worlds.
