A Devotional for Special Needs Parents
Written from one weary heart to another.
If you’ve ever sat in a hospital waiting room, Googled something like “how to keep having faith when nothing is going right,” or cried quietly in the dark after your child finally fell asleep after a complicated surgery, this is for you.
This little devotional was born in the margins of my Bible and the highlighted pages of devotionals I clung to during some of our hardest days. I didn’t write it as a theologian or a perfect mom. I wrote it as someone who’s been where you are—feeling unseen, overwhelmed, and desperate for hope that fits this life.
Raising a child with special needs is holy and heavy work. It’s full of joy and grief, beauty and burnout. And in the swirl of appointments, meltdowns, diagnoses, and paperwork, it can be hard to find even five quiet minutes with God.
That’s where this devotional comes in.
Inside you’ll find:
One carefully chosen Bible verse for each of the 180 days
A short, real-life reflection—no fluff, just faith for this very specific road
Words of comfort, courage, and presence when you need them most
Keep it in your bag, glove box, or beside the bed—wherever you’re most likely to need a reminder that you’re not alone. That God still speaks. That He sees you.
You were never meant to carry this alone. And you don’t have to.
