Richard Jackson is an amateur author who spent much of his life as an atheist and agnostic. After battling addiction, he embraced sobriety through the Spiritual 12-step program in 1983. Twenty-one years later, he and his wife welcomed a daughter and began attending church. Despite this, Richard felt lost, as the church's teachings often conflicted with its actions. Seeking answers, he turned to the Bible, which he views as an owner's manual for life. In 2013, Richard accepted Jesus as his Savior and now aims to help others by sharing his journey in his book, Fanny Pack: Your Way Down the Straight and Narrow Path.
