In the small town of Ravensbrook Hollow, there is a local legend. It tells of an abandoned asylum outside of Ravensbrook that was active during the 1940's and 50's. About how it was run by a ruthless warden named Matthias Blackthorne. He was assisted by Dr. Fredrick von Menschen, the Chief Physician, who performed cruel and inhumane experiments on the patients. Many died while admitted there under the guise of 'curing' them of their afflictions. Even 2 prominent citizens of Ravensbrook at the time, Sylvia Grace and Mark Waters, had succumbed to the Warden and his vile methods. Everyone just seemed to be too afraid of the Warden and what he could, or would, be capable of.
It wasn't until the death of a local boy, Billy Winters, who was a patient there and was subjected to unimaginable tortures until his untimely demise at the hands of the Warden and the Chief Physician. The citizens became outraged and stormed the asylum. They accused the two men of vile acts against mankind, dragging out the Warden and Chief Physician; their screams echoing into the darkness of the asylum. They were never seen or heard from again. The asylum was shut down soon after.
Eyewitness accounts say that strange noises can be heard from the asylum, but were unable to find the source of it. People have been seen wandering around the asylum grounds, but upon inspection, no one could be found. People have gone in to investigate, but some, have never returned...
