Synopsis

It may be difficult to understand, especially for a Spanish-speaking reader, the beauty contained in the haiku or haiku, a poem of Japanese origin consisting of 17 syllables arranged in three verses of 5, 7 and 5 syllables, since its structure, not admitting rhyme, punctuation or title, clashes with the grammatical or syntactic concepts of the Spanish language. The haiku, notwithstanding the difficulties of such a narrow structural framework, is strongly rooted in Zen philosophy, predominating, from this influence, the absolute respect for the simplicity, subtlety and apparent inequalities that nature can present to us. The haijin or haiku, author of a haiku, seeks to describe what transcends time, the moment at the very moment it is captured by the senses, within the space and time in which are the expressions of nature that can not be touched without being destroyed by the hand of man. It tries to describe the sacred universe in which all created beings are found, but the divine, brief and invisible remains hidden in the words that are not said and that well claims the erudite criticism. The Haiku is the contemplation of the great and the small that tries to make word, beyond form and order, the fleeting of an instant, to make manifest and understandable, surprising and painful for the soul, the ephemeral life of a lotus flower.

Puede resultar difícil entender, principalmente para un lector de habla hispana, la belleza que encierra el haikú o haikú, poema de origen japonés que consta de 17 sílabas dispuestas en tres versos de 5, 7 y 5 sílabas, ya que su estructura, al no admitir rima, puntuación o título, choca con los conceptos gramaticales o sintácticos propios del idioma español. El haikú, no obstante, las dificultades de un marco estructural tan estrecho, está fuertemente arraigado a la filosofía Zen, predominando, a partir de esta influencia, el absoluto respeto a la sencillez, sutileza y aparentes desigualdades que puede presentarnos la naturaleza. El haijin o haikista, autor de un haikú, busca describir lo que trasciende el tiempo, el momento en el momento mismo en que es captado por los sentidos, dentro del espacio y época en que se encuentran las expresiones de la naturaleza que no pueden tocarse sin ser destruido por la mano del hombre. Trata de describir el universo sagrado en el que se encuentran todos los seres creados, pero lo divino, breve e invisible queda oculto en las palabras que no se dicen y que bien reclama la crítica erudita. El Haikú es la contemplación de lo grande y lo pequeño que trata de hacer palabra, más allá de la forma y del orden, lo fugaz de un instante, hacer manifiesta y comprensible, sorpresiva y dolorosa para el alma, la efímera vida de una flor de loto.
