These three odd stories center around the fundamental question that has occupied mystics of all ages and countries: Who Am I? They do not give the answer, but do delve into the problems and mysteries of the quest in its own dark humoured way. They do so in three stories and two interviews and an article about Mr. Esmann. They recognize that the narrative, being discursive, has to deconstruct itself. Not by some semiotician or textual analytic.
All the stories and postscripts can be read, like Mr. Esmann's other prose, as sophisticated attacks on contemporary intellectualism Or any intellectual approach to reaching the Self.
