Synopsis

Set against a background of mounting political turmoil, Grace, a happily married young woman is living a devout and conventional, if intellectually frustrated, life. After she lands a job as an accountant for a prominent church in the Bible Belt, she is befriended by a Roman Catholic priest who has also recently joined the church staff.
Drawn to each other by a mutual desire to pull this old and crumbling church into the 21st century, she soon finds the priest’s unorthodox ideas and philosophies disturbing, particularly when they seem to contradict conventional Christian doctrine. Nevertheless, she is drawn to the intellectual stimulation and excitement that he offers. As their friendship grows, she starts to question many of tenets of her own life and beliefs she always taken for granted.
But are his intentions purely honorable? Is he really the charismatic priest she believes him to be, or does his friendship hide a more sinister motive?
