Synopsis

Through many serious readings of Song of Songs (SOS) it became clear that it is not simply about Christ and the church, but it rather concerns all of human history, concerning the love between God and His people, from Adam, Enoch, and Noah to Abraham through David and the Temple to Jesus and His seven churches, with all Israel saved, and on into eternity. It must be said here that this perspective was discovered by looking carefully at the words and themes found in SOS, while comparing these and their order with that of the Bible.
Of course, from Solomon's perspective, it's all history up to the Temple of Jerusalem. But because of everything afterward, from Jesus through His churches, and on into eternity, much of SOS would have been prophecy for Solomon. For us of the 21st century, it would be prophetic starting with the Philadelphia Church.
Now if this interpretation of SOS is God’s doing, it then shows us of the 21st century that we must not hang with the Laodicean church, who is in great danger of missing the rapture, that is, of being stranded in Great Tribulation, if unrepentant. If this interpretation of SOS is only coincidence, well, then it is such an incredible coincidence, as it follows, in the biblical order, significant people and events connected by God’s love, while spanning seven thousand years of human history, until eternity.
It is the author’s view that once this historical/prophetic perspective of God’s love in human history is seen in Song of Songs, it, of course, cannot easily be unseen.
