Synopsis

Larry Logan suddenly decides to put an end to his career
as a war reporter. A double twist of fate has convinced him that
it's time to live the second half of his life differently. Feeling
betrayed by his most loyal partner and cheated on by the only
woman he had ever truly loved, he has himself declared missing.
A sailor friend left him a cabin on a deserted Pacific beach in
Northern America when he died. Back in this wild an majestic
landscape he has loved since childhood, he hopes to find the
time to seek the answers to those essential questions about life,
death, love, the passage of time, and the God he no longer believes
in. In silence and solitude, he tries to forget everything and be
forgotten by everyone. But he soon discovers that it's not easy to
escape the society of men...and women.
A curious cast of characters will invade his new life : a hermit
with a sulfurous past, a billionaire obsessed with sex and
death, a drugstore owner, two brothers who hate each other and
wonder which one of them is the father of “their” child, two sisters
`who've had the wrong love affair and would gladly swap husbands,
a country music star, a nymphomaniac teenager, a gangster in petticoat,
an incorruptible young cop.... And let's not forget that ghostly grizzly
who wanders around biding his time...
