Synopsis

Have you ever wondered about what motivated the founding fathers of Africa to risk their lives and their loved ones in the service of their motherland and the mother continent? Has it ever crossed your mind as to what could have made some of these individuals, at some point, literally turn against their people, their motherland and the mother continent? How much of these individuals and their activities in promoting or subjugating their motherland and the mother continent do you know? How much of the happenings on the mother continent in the past do you know? This piece ventures into the other side to eavesdrop on conversations cum reflections of the founding fathers of Africa as they watch the mother continent from the great beyond. This is a compressed history of the motherland, compressed in a poetic fashion. Among other things, it explores the issues bedeviling the mother continent and reminds us of abandoned solutions. This is a story of the motherland, a story of heroism and cowardice, of survival and regeneration, of crushed people and of people rising like the phoenix from the ashes.
