Synopsis
'Time to Wake Up' is my personal story of how I struggled with growing my faith in Jesus. I share my godless and wasted youthful life and what I discovered were the root causes of this struggle and their remedy. The "light" (less/non-Holy Spirit powered) preaching of the gospel very prevalent today, is churning out baby Christians struggling to grow in faith and grace. Many remain babes in Christ even after years of answering the 'altar call.' This is because they were not properly and intensively nursed as spiritual babies. Thus, overcoming sin (lying, immorality, unforgiveness, anger, etc.) is a huge challenge. Any wonder the messy stories in secret? I speak from experience.
Such Christians are unable to walk in the Spirit and mature in the character of Jesus, because they do not understand the reality of their dual nature - the natural man and the spiritual man in one body. They are yet to genuinely repent of some of their sins, and even nurse very subtle lust for them! The events of the cross do not stir any deep emotions in them. They are not enjoying fellowship with Jesus. They are vulnerable to falling away and deception which are present grave dangers to all people of faith. They are limiting God's use of them for His glory. Meanwhile, God is chasing all the godless youth, with His love for reconciliation.
May this book be a challenge to wake up from every fatal slumber.
