Synopsis
“I held on tight and we swam from the stack through the entrance and into the blowhole. As we swam into the entrance, a wave caught me, and I felt myself slipping from Tursiop’s back. My hands could not hang on to her smooth pectoral fin, and I was in the churning waves. Later I described it as like being in a washing machine, but at the time, I just panicked. I opened my eyes, but the salt water made them sting, and I couldn’t see anything. I tried to gulp in air, and there was just water.”
