Set in 2030, Time’s Up is a novel that will haunt you forever—a cautionary story of a struggle for survival in a world of climate devastation. A magazine writer flees Florida when the East Coast floods from a one-two-three punch delivered by climate change in a single catastrophic day—a killer hurricane, record-breaking storm surges, and an enormous tsunami caused by a meltdown of Greenland’s glaciers.
As the rapid rise in sea level submerges shores worldwide, the writer joins a pastor, a nurse, her mechanic husband, their teenage son, a scientist, and two large, grumpy housecats—all escaping together by bicycle to the mountains of western North Carolina.
The worst could happen today—how would you survive?
