Synopsis

The Five Elements QiGong exercises are a mixture of exercises derived from different forms of QiGong, such as: the Eight Pieces of Brocade, the Five Animals, Tai Chi Quan, various Shaolin KungFu exercises, with the aim of preventing various diseases, such as: Back pain, rheumatoid arthritis, cough, asthma, chest pain, abdominal swelling, feverish diseases, incontinence and urinary retention, gastric pain, abdominal vomiting and diarrhea, as well as heartburn, vascular problems, headaches and neck pain and stiffness, weakness of muscles and tendons, nosebleeds, dizziness, irregular menstrual periods, psychosis, depression, blurred vision, temporary paralysis of the extremities, constipation, muscle and joint pain, obesity, muscle spasms and pain in the legs as well as difficulty walking, impotence, hernia, diabetes, deafness, eye pain and swelling, heart problems, insomnia, shortness of breath, anxiety, hand tremors, problems with internal organs and endocrine glands and many other diseases that arise due to degeneration of internal organs. To better understand what these exercises are for, we need to look at the theory of the five elements, how this theory relates to the internal organs, and the function and relationship between them.
In this book we are proposing two explanations; the first is the relationship between the shape of the exercises and the effect, and the second is the relationship between the exercises and the Five Element Theory and the Five Organ Theory as per Traditional Chinese Medicine. The book contains text and illustrations, movements and breathing methods at-a-glance as well as the essence of the various aspects of the movements, what needs to be noted during practice, and special suggestions for common mistakes. I consent to the reader to immediately master the techniques of the exercises and clearly understand the ability of the movement and the effect. And remember, as long as you keep exercising, your body will show you how it improved.
