Paperback. Etat : new. Paperback. Expanding access to higher education for students with intellectual disabilities becomes an important priority in efforts to promote equity, social inclusion, and workforce participation. Postsecondary institutions are challenged to design programs that support diverse learning needs through individualized support, inclusive campus experiences, and career preparation. Effective implementation requires coordinated planning, collaborative partnerships, and supportive policies that address academic, social, and employment outcomes. By adopting inclusive approaches in postsecondary education, institutions may further empower students with intellectual disabilities to develop skills, independence, and opportunities for long-term success. Implementing Inclusive Postsecondary Programs for Students With Intellectual Disabilities explores how postsecondary institutions design and implement inclusive programs that support the academic, social, and career development of students with intellectual disabilities. It examines the policies, practices, and institutional strategies that promote access, participation, and meaningful outcomes in higher education settings. This book covers topics such as peer mentoring, braided funding, and critical support systems, and is a useful resource for educators, academicians, researchers, and scientists.
