Synopsis

Promoting equity and inclusion in education requires transformative leadership that reflects and responds to the diverse needs of students and educators. Women's leadership plays a critical role in driving this transformation and approaches that often prioritize collaboration. As more women assume leadership roles in education from classroom to policymaking levels, they challenge traditional power structures and help create more inclusive environments. Fostering women's leadership not only empowers individuals but also strengthens educational systems by embedding equity into curriculum design and institutional culture. This ongoing shift is essential for building more just and representative educational landscapes worldwide. Fostering Equity and Inclusion Through Women's Leadership in Education explores how women in leadership positions are uniquely challenged to navigate institutional upheaval. This book serves as both a practical resource and a source of inspiration for women navigating leadership in this increasingly complex and contested space. Covering topics such as education, women's leadership, and fostering inclusion, this book is an excellent resource for women in leadership positions, emerging women leaders, scholars and practitioners, policymakers and higher education advocates invested in equity and inclusion.
