Suresh Ramakrishnan has several years of teaching, research, and practical experience in various capacities in Malaysia. He is currently working as an Associate Professor in Faculty of Management, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He has also additional duties of Associate Director Global Strategy & Engagement at UTM International. He has published more than 100 research articles in indexed journals. He has led and collaborated on various national and international research projects, especially from the industries in Malaysia, International grants, University fund and the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education. He has supervised 52 PhD students and 5 Masters students after his doctoral degree. He was appointed as the Expert Panel for Research and Development Grants by the Kementerian Sains, Teknologi dan Inovasi (MOSTI) - Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Malaysia. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from Deakin University Australia.
