Beverly Sande , Ph.D., has over 28 years of professional experience dedicated to improving educational access and advancing large-scale educational reform. Dr. Sande serves as an Associate Professor and Director of the Panther Teaching Academy and the Panther Educator Residency Consortium at Prairie View A&M University, where she leads innovative teacher preparation initiatives designed to prepare educators and school leaders to effectively serve diverse student populations, including minority students, students with disabilities, and gifted learners. Her work emphasizes equitable access to high-quality instruction and developing educators prepared to meet the needs of all learners from their first day in the classroom. Dr. Sande’s teaching and mentoring focus on leadership, educational reform, and research-based practices that improve outcomes for underserved student populations. Her research interests include collaborative continuous improvement models, educator preparation reform, university–school partnerships, and strategies for scaling educational initiatives. Her professional expertise includes dual licensure programs, co-teaching models, yearlong residency programs, continuous improvement frameworks, and university–school partnership models. She has led interdisciplinary teams preparing teacher candidates for certification examinations and classroom readiness. Throughout her career, Dr. Sande has collaborated with school districts, higher education institutions, and educational organizations to address teacher shortages, strengthen instructional practice, and expand access to high-quality education.

Britine Perkins is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Counseling at Prairie View A&M University, where she prepares culturally proficient teachers and school leaders for diverse educational contexts. Dr. Perkins holds several national and state committee appointments and is a recipient of the Texas A&M University System Chancellor’s Academy of Teacher Educators Award. Her research focuses on strengthening educator and leadership pipelines, with particular emphasis on recruiting, preparing, and retaining excellent teachers and school leaders of color. Her work is grounded in a commitment to advancing equity and expanding high quality educational opportunities for historically marginalized student communities.
