This collection of poems came into being over a period of almost twenty-five years.
During this time we lived in a village, and this village has a magazine. Magazines are always looking for attractive articles and amusing poems are usually welcome. Much of the collection that forms “Finding the Words to Use” began just like this.
Inevitably, my inspiration extends beyond village life to encompass the joy of family, long-held friendships, national events and to otherwise really rather random topics.
My hope is you’ll find something amusing, reflective or familiar in these pages, with a glimpse of the ordinary and extraordinary influence everyday experiences bring.
