Synopsis

Harry Myers had always thought of himself as a sensible man. He enjoyed a good cup of coffee, the occasional game of chess, and the thrill of floating in the vast, weightless expanse of space. But nothing, absolutely nothing, could have prepared him for the moment when he was told he would be making the first journey into interstellar space. And, as if that wasn't enough excitement for one day, he would be accompanied by Genie, the latest and most advanced female android.
"Harry," said the mission director, a man whose hair looked like it was permanently stuck in a wind tunnel, "you're going to Gemini 5. And you're taking Genie with you." Harry blinked. Twice. "The android?" "Yes, the android," the director confirmed, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. "She's designed to be your companion, navigator, and, well, she's got a few other tricks up her sleeve."

My vision for this book is to blend hard science fiction with deep emotional and ethical questions. I want to provide a story that is as thought-provoking as it is thrilling. My previous works, "Intellectual Self-Defense" and "The Accidental Entrepreneur," have always aimed to challenge readers to think deeply while being entertained. This book is no different. It's about pushing boundaries, both in terms of space exploration and in understanding what it means to be human.
