During the analysis of empires new population estimates are calculated for both the British Empire and the Roman Empire, utilizing new sources as well as new technology.

Lastly it is attempted to ascertain the current phase of Western Civilization. This is based on an analysis of the family unit, democracy, and a detailed run-through of the culture radical movements in the last 60 years.
