In this Christmas escape room activity, teams work together (or individuals work alone) to solve the word puzzles, reading comprehension puzzles, ciphers, and cryptograms. Using critical thinking skills students' uncover codes to open the locks. This low-prep activity gets upper elementary through high school kids thinking as they solve the puzzles and clues.

Fred is a gingerbread man like no other. He was made without sugar, so he’s mean and bitter and he’s kidnapped Santa's reindeer to try and stop Christmas. There are six puzzles. Each puzzle will lead students to a key – all six keys are required to save Christmas. There are two versions the Escape Room in both print and Easel digital – for maximum differentiation. Game Scenario 2: Help Santa Save Christmas
HELP Santa Fix His Sleigh by working through these standards-based activities. Santa’s runs out of his special fuel and it’s almost Christmas! If he doesn’t get more from the reserves in the South Pole, Christmas will be ruined. Time is ticking away, so students are tasked with finding the fastest reserve reindeer, sending him/her to the South Pole, securing the fuel and getting him or her back to the North Pole in time for Santa to make his Christmas Eve deliveries. (Five puzzle game.)

Game Scenario 3: Escape Clinton's Holiday Party
Scenario: Clinton is preparing for his annual holiday party, but he’s forgotten what he asked his friends to bring for dessert. He also needs to clean up the living room, cook dinner, and figure out what time he told his guests to arrive. It’s your job to help him.

Game Scenario 4 and 5:
Unlock Learning Fun with the ”Fractured Fairy Tale Escape Room: Adventure for Struggling Readers" and a version for at level students. One version is a classroom activity tailored for Grades 5-9, but for older struggling readers. The other version it at level. The puzzles correspond with the included story 'A Duck and a Mermaid Walked into the Forest or Princess Punzie’s Hair-Brained Wish'.
