Synopsis
In 1969, when the author met Oigle; a cheeky young kid with an infectious smile, at Little Marley Beach in the Royal National Park, to the south of Sydney, they formed an instant rapport. Their shared love of the pleasures of fishing, camping and enjoying a laugh and the company of mates around the fire, cemented that bond. They only knew each other for a few years; before the author travelled overseas seeking new horizons, however they enjoyed some wonderful boyhood times. This simple yarn, tinged with sadness, tells the story of a couple of mates in an Australia that has changed drastically, an Australia the author misses and wishes could somehow return.
