This book is about the painful and tragic history of the Children of Israel in the Middle East and elsewhere since their arrival into ancient Egypt at the time of Prophet Joseph.
Prophet Joseph had been appointed by the King of Egypt to manage the Egyptian economy through seven years of prosperity and seven years of famine. In appreciation of his outstanding contributions, the King of Egypt graciously welcomed all the Children of Israel and their families to dwell in Egypt. They enjoyed a prosperous and righteous life until the Egyptians revolted against the foreign King and restored their own sovereignty over Egypt.
The Egyptian Pharaohs subsequently became the rulers of Egypt. They hated and despised the Children of Israel for two reasons. Firstly, they were regarded as traitors because Joseph’s family had served the foreign King who was an occupier of Egypt and secondly, they were believers in the One True God, whilst the ancient Egyptians were idol worshippers.
The Children of Israel were cruelly enslaved and tortured at the hands of the ancient Egyptians. Their persecution continued until Prophet Moses led them to freedom and safety by crossing the Red sea into Sinai. God’s favour fell upon them when He miraculously parted the Red Sea into two huge mountains of water allowing them to pass through it dry-shod. As the mountains of water collapsed, Pharaoh and his entire army, in hot pursuit of the Israelites, were crushed and drowned in front of their eyes.
Unfortunately, the Children of Israel showed resistance to the revelations to Moses and ignored the teachings of the Torah. God forgave them after they repented, but He later inflicted severe punishment on those who transgressed the Sabbath when they were insolent about that which they had been forbidden. God declared that He would surely continue to send those who would afflict them with the worst torment until the Day of Resurrection, as punishment for ignoring the Torah. Their torture continued at the hands of the Babylonians, the Philistines and the Romans. In modern times they were persecuted by the Christians who claimed that the “Jews are the killers of God”.
This book also questions the claims made by certain Christians, who pay no consideration to Jewish lives, yet are pushing the Jews from all over the world to settle in Israel and illegally build settlements on Palestinian lands, in order to speed up the return of Jesus.
The book discusses how freedom of speech, which is a great and fundamental British value, was hijacked after 7th October 2023, by Jewish groups to silence any support for the embattled Palestinian people.
Finally, a plea is made to fair and just world leaders to establish an ever-lasting peace in the Middle East, in order that Jews and Arabs can live side by side in peace and harmony. Many European and Arab politicians have stated that there will be no peace in the region and Israel will never feel safe if it doesn’t end the occupation, stop the building of illegal settlements and accept the two-state solution.
