Will Palestinians and Israelis ever be able to live in peace on the same land?
What foments visceral hatred towards each other?
Ernesto Marzano, an economist with long experience as a manager of state shareholdings and private companies, takes stock of the main historical, political and ideological issues underlying the recurring flare-ups of war which, for almost seventy years, have periodically ignited the Middle East, risking times to detonate possible world conflicts.
With a pleasantly provocative and light-hearted style, but always with constructive intentions, Marzano then explores Jewish history and culture starting from their origins and from the pages of the Bible itself, contesting many clichés and more or less consecrated and official truths.
Ernesto Marzano, born in Rome in 1936, earned a degree in Law and a master's degree in Business from the University of California. In 2013 he published Dialisi. Non-life on the waiting list, a book with a biographical-family background. His autobiography The Man Without an Audience is from 2014.
