Clarissa Fiorucci lives in Assisi and works as a civil rights lawyer at a firm in the upper part of the city. When she returns from her lunch break, her friend and colleague Matilde informs her that she has been sought out persistently by a lawyer named Larrabee from London and hands her a post-it with the phone number written on it.
Clarissa calls him back and discovers that her father, Armando Fiorucci, a well-known architect who had moved to England years ago, has suddenly passed away.
Lawyer Larrabee informs Clarissa that, according to Mr. Fiorucci’s explicit instructions, no other family members are welcome at the funeral, and if this last wish is not honored, none of the heirs will inherit the deceased’s estate.
Shocked by this stance, Clarissa discusses it with her mother Chiara and her brother. Umberto leaves the apartment grumbling and railing against a father with whom he hadn't been in contact for years, while Clarissa decides she wants to understand the reason why her parents’ relationship ended so turbulently.
Despite her hesitation, Chiara decides to tell her daughter the truth about the end of her marriage to Armando. Overwhelmed, Clarissa runs away from home to the last place where she had been happy with her father, before he moved to the City. It will be in that precious place that fate will unexpectedly intertwine Clarissa’s path with that of a man who is both attractive and unusual.
