Synopsis

Stargazing is a compilation of poetry focused on mental health. Throughout the book you can see a roller coaster of emotion, similarly to how mental health is in real life. Stargazing is a book that is dedicated to ending the negative stigma around mental health, and trying to assist readers that expressing their emotions and feelings are beneficial and important.

This book came to fruition in 2022, Ian had the idea of how he would gaze up at the stars and it was such a unique feeling that he could remember all the way back to 2017. After graduating from college, Ian realized that he spent so much of his time not focusing on the things that truly mattered. He spent a lot of time day-dreaming, and realized he needed to switch up his mindset. The title is a draw to the fact that Stargazing is not always at the stars, but can be at a variety of different things. The poem Stargazing is a testament of that.

Ian's personal favorites are Beat Up Street, an ode to the street that he grew up on, and the poem World in my Arms, a poem about his fiancé (at the time of release). These two poems are the epitome of what growth and reflection looks like.

Stargazing truly has a poem for everyone and will pull on the heart strings of readers.
