Synopsis

Lau Gar was originally a secret system taught only to people with the surname Lau. It was adopted by Hung Gar and became a standard part of his curriculum. Lau Gar was popularized by the famous master Lau Kar Leung, director and star of many great martial arts films. The Lau clan of Canton has a three-set system of KungFu (one set of punches, one set of hands, and one set of stick) that was adopted by the Hung Kuen school and is commonly retained as a component of the Hung curriculum. This is the first of these, a short set with great emphasis on muscle building and short, fast execution in a square pattern.
