We Bite Back is a charity anthology featuring various pieces by 2SLGBTQIA+ writers and artists. While it is horror-centric, it is also an ode to queer joy, anger, and passion in a world that doesn't always want to protect us - and would rather we remain invisible and compliant...or erase us altogether.

This anthology is a direct response to the increasing hostility and danger towards the queer community, and a clear message that we will not be silenced, we exist, and we are HERE TO STAY.

Sage Moon (pronouns: he/they) identifies as transmasc/nonbinary/agender and panromantic asexual. He is also known as "The Horror Maven," and is the author of three novels and various short stories and poems that have been published in a multitude of anthologies. He is an experienced book reviewer, editor, cover artist, and book designer, and has been a part of the indie writing community since 2013. Their first book was published by an independent publisher during their senior year of high school. Professionally, he is a mental health specialist, coach, & bibliotherapist, and utilizes horror books with clients to address phobias, anxiety disorders, and trauma. For nearly their entire life, he has found horror to be a solace. But after diving deep into the horror writing community, they acknowledged a growing need for more diverse literary horror - especially from the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. While 2SLGBTQIA+-based horror creators are receiving more acknowledgment now than ever, there is still a lot of stigma and discrimination attached to them and their works. It is because of this that he developed the independent publishing house Pride with a Bite. They currently serve as Editor-in-Chief. With the emergence of Pride with a Bite, Sage hopes to highlight new and established 2SLGBTQIA+ horror authors and artists from all backgrounds, while providing the community with new publishing and marketing opportunities.
