Synopsis

Dasher, a playful Springer Spaniel puppy, enjoys a happy life with his family and his wise father, Ben. One day, while playing indoors, Dasher accidentally knocks over and breaks Mother's cherished vase. The family is upset, and Dasher is sent outside, feeling guilty and scared. His mischievous neighbor, Jerry the collie, convinces him that he might never be allowed back inside. Overwhelmed, Dasher makes a rash decision-he runs away. Alone in the unfamiliar world, Dasher quickly realizes that life outside is frightening. As the rain falls and darkness sets in, he becomes lost and scared. Just when he feels hopeless, a kind police officer named Jean finds him and helps him return home. Upon his return, Dasher is welcomed with love and relief. His father, Ben, teaches him an important life lesson-mistakes are temporary, and what truly matters is learning from them. Dasher realizes that running away doesn't solve problems; instead, understanding, accepting responsibility, and making better future choices helps one grow. A heartwarming and insightful tale, Dasher Runs Away teaches young readers about responsibility, problem-solving, and the importance of family support.
