Kadius (Kade Hollis) is a Texas-born writer and founder of Bad Poet Revolt, a creative imprint dedicated to preserving structured poetry and enduring narrative forms. Raised in West Texas, he has been writing since childhood, first published in the third grade and continuing ever since. Deeply inspired by the Roman poets who first ignited his passion, Kadius blends classical structure with modern intensity, crafting works that explore love, violence, obsession, and the fragile nature of the human soul. His growing catalog of pocket-sized tragedies and poetry reflects his belief that poetic form is not something to abandon, but something to master, adapt, and reintroduce to the modern world.

Paperback. Etat : new. Paperback. Zemsta is a dark historical horror short story rooted in Ukrainian Cossack folklore and the brutal mythology of the Eastern European Steppe. Blending gothic atmosphere, revenge tragedy, and supernatural terror, the story explores how violence, grief, and blood loyalty can corrupt the human soul.Set in a harsh frontier world shaped by war, raiding, and superstition, the short story draws heavily on Slavic legend, particularly tales of the Upyr, an undead being associated with curses, unclean death, and vengeance that transcends the grave. Through stark imagery and mythic storytelling, Zemsta captures the feeling of an old oral legend passed between generations: part history, part warning, and part nightmare.Atmospheric and visceral, the short story combines historical realism with folk horror, emphasizing isolation, spiritual dread, and the thin boundary between man and monster. Themes of familial duty, inherited violence, damnation, and the cost of revenge run throughout the work, while the Ukrainian wilderness itself becomes a living presence haunting every page.Written in a grim, cinematic style inspired by Eastern European folklore and Gothic literature, Zemsta is ideal for readers of historical dark fantasy, historical horror, and morally driven revenge narratives. A cursed tale of vengeance set on the war-torn Ukrainian Steppe, Zemsta blends historical horror and Slavic folklore. This story explores how grief and violence can transform a man into a monster.
