Thomas F. Lester has been married for fifty-three years to Dr. Lynette Stuart, a retired professor of Howard University's Dental School. He has three sons, Tommy Jr., Kevin, and Paul and one daughter, Margaret. He also has nine grandchildren. Thomas Lester is a retired professional videographer and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Washington, DC.
