Synopsis

Mirza Hassan Roshdieh was a visionary educator, a tireless reformer, and a pioneer of modern learning in Iran-yet his name remains shrouded in obscurity. Roshdieh: The Forgotten Life and Legacy of Mirza Hassan Roshdieh uncovers the untold story of a man who challenged centuries of orthodoxy to introduce critical thinking, science, and inclusivity into Iranian education.

Set against political upheaval, clerical opposition, and cultural transformation, this deeply researched account traces Roshdieh's bold initiatives, the ferocious resistance he endured, and his eventual exile and death in quiet anonymity. Through historical analysis and cultural insight, author Ali R. Rahimi, M.D., offers a poignant tribute to a reformer whose legacy, though largely unacknowledged, continues to shape Iran's educational landscape.

This is the story of a forgotten hero. This is the reckoning with a past long ignored.
