Synopsis

Father Babbitt has served every god he can think of (and a few he's only heard rumors about), mostly by drinking their sacraments and pocketing their tithes.

So when a band of mismatched adventurers finds him barefoot, broke, and arguing with the heavens on the side of the road, he does the only sensible thing. He joins them.

What follows is a continent-spanning misadventure in the company of a sticky-fingered ex-pirate, a wizard who really only knows one spell (it's fireball), a half-orc who talks to his weapons, and a red-bearded druid who would truly rather be left alone.

Their task: defend the hidden anchors that keep a dead god buried. Their route: haunted mines, frozen ports, a city in the clouds, and at least one tavern they probably shouldn't have set on fire.

The fate of the world is in their hands.

The world may wish it had asked someone else.
