Synopsis

Toni Lee has spent her life trying to outrun her past. Once a kidnapped child, now a newbie detective, she buried her trauma beneath a calm, controlled exterior. But when her department suspects a serial killer has returned after a decade of silence-and she's targeted at a crime scene-she's forced to face the one truth she never wanted to confront: the past is not done with her.

Not wanting to work the cases alone, she receives reinforcement: criminal profiler Vaughn Black, a man from her past who is currently battling his own troubles. As they team up, their search takes a shocking turn. Clues point to someone closer, someone Toni once trusted. As the investigation escalates, Toni Lee must confront a horrifying truth: she is the final target. And Vaughn, learning how to live again after a personal tragedy, will risk his own life to stop a killer.
