I consider my academic strengths to be STEM-related, but wanted to create a tribute that represents the way he lived. In addition to offering peace and hope to young readers dealing with their own experiences of loss, this book is a way for me to be a part of Norel's artistic legacy.

Billy and the Magical Microphone is not just a story; it demonstrates the resilience of youth, the healing power of remembrance and the beauty of finding light in dark times. I hope that this story will serve as a blanket of comfort and source of inspiration to all who read it, reminding them that even in grief, there is always hope waiting to be revealed.
