The series is set between the physical world – Terra and its “digital twin”– Digitterra. Fang and Bat clans of cyber vampires seek control over both realms by sucking people’s data and using it to enslave them. Both aim to cement their grip permanently by developing an all knowing super A.I. The mẹtaKnyts aim to crush these efforts and free mankind from exploitation and servitude.

mẹtaKnyts is the tale of the rise of a new social, economic, political and mystical paradigm through new technologies that give people freedom, agency and privacy, via decentralized money, information and A.I. The saga is geared towards creating greater digital literacy, financial education and inclusion in tech and features a diverse cast led by a team of heroes of African descent.

metaKnyts #2 Picks up From Where #0 and #1 Left Off

So much has happened to our unsuspecting hero Deji since the pilots which #2 picks up from. To recap, in #0 Deji came to the aid of a total stranger against his better judgment. To his surprise we learn that this stranger is none other than Satoshi Nakamoto, the mysterious creator of Bitcoin in #1. Not only does Satoshi thank Dejji, he also deputizes him and enlists his aid in a battle, whose details Deji is forced to learn… rapidly! His view of reality has been shattered in the span of mere minutes and he can’t tell if he’s having a crazy dream or losing his mind.

In spite of this he takes the first step into an unknown new adventure and awakens in a secret haven controlled by Satoshi's Cyphapunks. He has much to learn and not much time to learn it as he embarks on his journey to Digiterra to find the courier as tasked by Satoshi.

The Cyphapunks are excited to learn that a new champion has arrived to help and not a moment too soon. To say the fate of humanity is up for grabs is no exaggeration. Will our hero be able to get his bearings and navigate this foreign reality or will the promise of freedom, equity and opportunity proposed by the metaVerse be destroyed by the fangs before it gets started?
