Synopsis

The journey of a leatherback sea turtle from it's capture and release by a member of Capt. James Cooks crew in Kealakekua Bay, Hawaii on July 13, 1778 until it's capture and release by a tuna boat off the coast of southern California on August 25, 1925.
During that span of 147 years ,the leatherback turtle travelled across the southern Pacific Ocean exploring the climate, sea life and man. He serves as a witness to a number of historical events that occurred in the southern Pacific region.
