Synopsis

Encore means “again, once more” in music and is often the call of an audience for a repeat of a performance. Christmas Crèche-endo Encore is the written encore to Allan B. Thames’ book Christmas Crèche-endo in which a whole town experiences a Christmas performance of angelic music. In “Encore", eight year old Angelica Lynn experiences a contact with angels when visiting her grandfather, known to some folks simply as ‘the old man’. The ‘old man’ lives on a hill where for decades he has put out a Christmas display in his yard complete with Baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph, angels and assorted Christmas lights. One year he decides to use various Christmas hymns to play each Sunday night of Advent to inspire hearts and souls just before he turns on the lights for that night. One evening when expectations are the highest, his sound system fails and it looks like divine intervention will be required.

Many, many years later Angelica Lynn has returned to her grandfather’s old house just before Thanksgiving to prepare it to sell after the holiday. As she confronts memories from her earlier days with ‘the old man’ she is conflicted about selling the house. One night changes all that.

Visiting with Angelica Lynn in her return to the yellow house on the hill are her granddaughter Grace and grand-nephew Zade. As always when those two get together, adventures ensue. Adding their knowledge and expertise to this book are Allan’s granddaughter, Grace (written adventures of Grace and Zade), his grandson Neal (rear cover photo) and another grandson Zade (angel drawings).
