Synopsis

Our home planet Earth is under extreme existential threat from the climate crisis, pollution, species extinction (including humans), and inequality, all directly caused by the greed of humankind as it colonises and exploits our home planet Earth’s scarce, precious, and divine resources. The impact of the climate crisis economically, ecologically, ethically and socially can no longer be denied or tolerated.

Whilst we have taken some corrective steps, much of our response to date has been characterised by denial, avoidance and inaction, giving priority to short-term economic, political, and purely anthropocentric considerations.

Such a sad state of affairs has been brought about by a fragmented globalised society fixated on selfishness, greed, exploitation, inequality and separation (duality). We have much more to do if we are to survive. Humankind has taken a wrong turn and ended up in the wrong place, ended up at a dead end.

The objective of our book is not to blame, preach, lecture or indoctrinate but to further highlight the existential challenges we are facing and their causes, to illuminate and signpost potential solutions: the way of non-duality (no other - way), radical philanthropy, questioning, inquiring, and the wonder of truth-seeking and meaning-seeking. No Other Way encompasses a range of insights from the sciences and humanities – it calls us to take care of each other and our home Planet Earth, and to discover a different perspective on “what it means to be human”.

Our book is designed for those who are interested in rising up to these challenges, who want to take up the mantle for creating a more sustainable, philanthropic, and ecovisionary lifestyle (forging positive, thriving sustainable relationships between all living beings and their environments, home, or society) – those open minded, critical thinkers from all walks of life who are aspiring architects of personal, social and organisational change, seeking to broaden their outlook and to enhance their capacity to thrive in the 21st century.

Each of us is making our own way through the world. By reading this book you will gain a deeper insight and perspective on life; it is, as it were, a stone to ripple the pond, a paradox to ponder, designed to challenge, provoke and stimulate.
