Synopsis

A disillusioned Frank Mercer had no idea what lay in store for him, the day he wandered in to see the fortune-teller. If she had said to him, in her dry cracked voice, and cheese and pickled onion sandwich breath “You will travel to Hungary, meet and marry a local woman who will cuckold you, the consequences of her actions will put you in a sordid Hungarian prison. On release, you travel on to Singapore, where on weekend away to Indonesia you will be pursued by a gang of cut throats, who will want your head on stick and balls for earrings, instead they settle for nailing you to a tree, leaving you for dead.” If she had said all of that to him on Weymouth beach that day, Frank would have run into the sea with a bag over his head luckily that didn’t happen instead Frank began his journey to Hungary.
