Growing up in the rainforest of Liberia in the 1970s, Daniel Mellish's dream is to become educated and live a successful life of purpose. However, his father's neglect forces him to earn his own money for school supplies, even in primary school. This true-life narrative follows Daniel as he finds work with a missionary neighbor and pursues his education and pastoral training.
In 1991, while he is still a young husband and father, the First Liberian Civil War engulfs his life. Thirteen years of war and upheaval test his family’s resilience and faith as they experience danger, deprivation, and betrayal.
See how Daniel's struggles are redeemed, as he ultimately gains an avenue to help relieve others’ suffering.
