Meet the Gordon family. Dadda Scott does a job so boring even describing it has been known to induce comas. Dadda Lewis who has an incredibly exciting job... just don’t ask him about it! And of course their two amazing children, Lydia age 7 and Will age 10, complete the family.
Well almost complete, turns out what they really need is one very particular dog!
Join the Gordon's and their new furry friend as they set off on the trip of a lifetime to (hopefully) witness the 2024 solar eclipse as it sweeps across North America.
About the author (me):
So you know some people like to read books to wind down in the evening? Well I'm dyslexic and have ADHD, so other than the books I read to my kids I don't really read much, so I thought; "Why don't I write books instead?" Thankfully my wife is a primary school teacher and she helped with the edditing so my spelling and grammar wasn't going to hold me back (thanks m'love).
My kid, who also has ADHD and dyslexia, gets through a book faster than I can get through a bag of sweets, so it might really be a me thing, after all? Anyway I wrote a book and I'm pretty proud of myself! It turns out my kids will be proud of me when I finally get the master sword in Zelda, so I may need to take a break from writing for a little while to focus on that!
Warning: all my books are tested on animals. In the last decade or so I found myself in charge of 2 of them. A very silly idea if you ask me.
By the way, according to an expert I consulted (who was dressed in a white lab coat at the time so they must be correct), A Woof in the Sun has a reading age of about 8 - 12 and test subjects as young as 6 have been observed to appreciate the work when read to. They promptly dressed up as a police officer and shoved me in a cupboard because I wasn’t taking them seriously enough, so you'd be best to take them seriously if you ask me.
While I was locked up I thought I'd read my book to my jailer and after they'd eaten the bag of sweets I was using to bribe my way out, they said they loved it (pretty sure they were talking about the book).
Anyway, hope you enjoy!
