This story revolves around an untouched remote village in Karnataka's coastal region's deep dense forest that no humans have ever discovered in centuries. This village's people have distinct customs and traditions. This village is home to a large ancient temple that no one knows who built or when it was built. The people in this village hear a strange, mysterious sound emanating from this old temple, which they call 'Devakala,' and no one is supposed to do anything during this time because the people in this village believe God himself visits and spends some time in this temple.
Five friends embark on a New Year's adventure trek and happen to find a new village in a deep, dark forest where contemporary people meet ancient people who have a rich history and tradition. The rest of the narrative focuses on how these five friends respond to this strange, mysterious sound emanating from the temple and whether they think it is a manifestation of the Supreme Being or if there is another explanation.
