Synopsis
For His Glory and My Good is a 52-week devotional for anyone struggling to fi nd purpose in their suff ering, especially those with disabilities and their caregivers. Austin D. Green, who was born with Spina Bifi da, shares how those who are disabled and those who love them ask questions such as: • Why am I disabled? • Why did my child have to be born this way? • Is there a purpose to being disabled and suff ering in general? The book is broken into three parts, each one shining a spotlight on individuals in the Bible who struggled with disabilities themselves. Each section includes the questions the author has asked God himself. He observes that in the afterlife, he has much more than a new body to look forward to—he will have a new mind solely focused on Jesus. As Romans 8:28 tells us, while suff ering is certain, if we call ourselves followers of Christ, we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.
