In How Sovereign Is God?, Jon K. Newton challenges common assumptions about God’s sovereignty and the implications for our lives and tries to steer a fresh path in the midst of all the controversies that surround this topic. This book’s approach is based on biblical theology that interacts with whole passages and stories in Scripture rather than just prooftexts. How Sovereign Is God? also provides an insightful discussion of the theological issues involved (such as election and foreknowledge) and thought-provoking ideas for how a solid view of divine sovereignty can help us live as Christians today.
