What place does love have in Paul’s orderly presentation of the gospel as found in his Letter to the Romans, that still remains the hallmark for the church’s witness for Christ?
The place of God’s Love has too often tenuously been connected with “the quick answer” to the reason why Christ died. However, in evangelism “the quick answer” distorts the gospel. We must carefully examine what Paul the apostle knew to be “the power of salvation,” which made him eager to proclaim it and of which he was not ashamed.
Paul exhorts God’s people primarily to consider the mercy of God in an approach that will surprise many to learn about the whereabouts of love in the apostle’s way of thinking.
Readers of this book shall also see how fitting it is to discover relevantly the eventful and enthralling life of Charles Spurgeon who is still known as the Prince of Preachers. He strove, decade in, decade out, successfully to model his life on Paul and his gospel.
