Synopsis
You know how today, Winnipeg, like many other cities in the world, is inundated with city ills of ungodliness, homelessness, homicides, intoxication, prostitution, racism and drugs. At the core of these challenges, problems and issues are souls created in God’s image. Souls loved by God. Souls that Jesus Christ died for. Their collective lived experience is that they are enslaved by evil forces. Those who know Jesus Christ know his power to save the downtrodden, broken-hearted and enslaved souls. Therefore, someone, better even some people, have to pray and do something to help rescue and save these people. Divine Pathways Out of the City’s Addictions presents a rescue model consisting of nine impactful ministries, called Divine Pathways, that when dutifully followed, help to liberate victims and leave them employed. The victim’s experience begins with the pathway of Affirmation and ends with the pathway of Employment. The book makes use of scriptural references and the OOOO Winnipeg Song to engage victims as they experience the nine divine pathways with the vision of ending up gainfully employed. The OOOO Winnipeg Song is meant to be sang with passion, enthusiasm and much joy. It brings people together and creates a strong community experience, which is critical to people living with addictions. Participants in the Divine Pathways Out of the City's Addictions model retain the power to choose what they want. Follow divine pathways or continue in their current way of life. The book aims to influence participants to choose to change and experience freedom from the city's addictions.
