Synopsis
Billy is unable to sleep at night due to a fear of monsters that appear in his dreams. After asking for a story from his mother, she lets Billy in on a little secret... She is a Monster Scarer.
A Monster Scarer? Glad you asked... After Grandad built a sword, the fairies blessed it with the Monster Scarer Magic so that any one near the sword is protected against monsters. However, anyone who has touched the sword is protected forever!

Inspired by the story the author told his two little girls to comfort them at bedtime, a story that has since become a firm favourite.
