Synopsis

The eMusketeers is a series of short stories and cautionary tales that are connected through quasi-human characters who represent four functions of technology.

The eMusketeers are the record keeper, the algorithm, social media, and multimedia – Bill, Al, Sam, and Mike. They track everything, respond to requests, create not-so-private journals, and are always listening and watching. No bits and bytes.

If technology impacts your life, if you think that technology impacts your life, or if you are concerned that technology may impact the life of someone that you know and care about, this book is for you. If you see benefits to technology and, at the same time, it scares you, this book is for you. If you want to learn about or explain to someone the practical dangers of technology that are hiding in plain sight, this book is for you. And if you simply like interesting, eye-opening short stories, then this book is for you, too.

Has technology brought boundless opportunities, vast conveniences, and incredible prosperity, or has it enabled injustices, abuses, and absurdities? The answers are unique, individual, and diverse and are left to the reader to decide.

From a reader, "… the thoughts, emotions, and questions The eMusketeers provoked were insightful and somewhat frightening. Humanizing tech was an incredible way to make your point. Very impressive."
